Police are hunting a woman in Blackley after she attacked a woman and set her dog on her following a row in the street. The attack happened after two women became involved in agruement on Victoria avenue on the 21st May. The 58 year old woman was punched by the offender before the dog was incited to attack her.


A 16-year-old boys in hospital with a serious leg injury after a hit and run in New Moston. The car crashed into the teenager on Moston Lane East shortly before 9 o'clock last night and fleed the scene without stopping. The boy was taken to Crumpsall Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

A mans been seriously injured in an unprovoked attacked in Staylebridge. The 27 year old was knocked unconscious following the assault outside the 'Ruby Lounge' on Market Street at around 1 oclock  this morning. He was taken to hospital with a seriously head injury where he remains in a stable condition.

7 people have been arrested after a clampdown on illegal drivers in Rochdale. Police launched a 9 day operation stopping motorists using Number plate recognition technology to target offenders. Of those arrested, 3 were already wanted, the other 4 were all disqualified drivers.
