Here's what you've been
saying about 96.2 The Revolution.
Keep your feedback coming in by clicking the link
below.
Not my usual thing to email feedback to a radio station and I don't want this to sound like I'm blowing smoke up anyone's a*se but the quality of your station requires such actions.
No longer will sliced bread be used as a benchmark for excellence. From here on something will be the best thing since The Revolution!!

I'm not normally one for contacting radio stations but i just wanted to compliment you on what you're doing. In this world of heavily formatted, wall to wall bland bilge, thanks for bucking the trend and playing only quality music.
Steve Vickers
Never in my life did I think I would be writing to a radio station let alone one from t’ other side of t’ hill. Having spent the majority of the 36 years of my life listening to bilge on dogs bob FM and all the other commercial bobbins my friend introduced me to you about a month ago. Never have I heard such a mix of eclectic music in my life, real music that I really find myself tapping away to while at work. For the first time I have actually found a radio station that doesn’t give a stuff about “demographics” and who spends the most on texts into competitions but one that actually seems to care about the music it plays.
Congratulations to you all, and thank god for the internet to get you to the assembled masses all over the UK.
Martin
Have never felt
compelled to write in to a station complimenting
them BUT after about four years of listening I
want to say you just keep getting better and better!!!
The music is what makes it... ably backed up by
the most unpretentious Dj's going... And it's
not only me that thinks so...
I work as a paramedic for North West Ambulance
Service here in Manchester and it's on in most
of the ambulances particularly at night when it
provides an eclectic soundtrack to the night's
events...
Keep up the good work,
Paul C
I've just re-discovered
you after an absence of a few years.
For couple of weeks I thrashed around looking
for something local, tried Radio Lancashire, Radio
Manchester, Century, Key 103, then just about
found you, on the day that Martin Coogan had his
first day on breakfast. he sounded so p*ssed off
at getting up early for the foreseeable future
that I thought "this station's the one for
me!".
The station is even better now- the music is so
much improved and the presenters are excellent.
My clock radio is now permanently tuned to 96.2!
Boogie on!

Been listening to
the Rev for around a year and have now converted
all the other tradesmen onsite to the Rev. Rev
Engineers, lets get Digital, for when site radios
are upgraded to DAB and we can reach you in the
little back of beyond, mono-brow places
that we have to sometimes work in. Cant be doing
with having to retune to FATOVERPAIDLOVETOKISSANDPATMYOWNASS.FM.
Becket knows he's the tradesman's working class
hero, Shanyaski's in a completely different world
(the world class of barking mad make us laugh
radio world), Ferry tells us how it is or maybe
how it really should be in the world and Claire
B plays every tune that I lost in the back of
my head during the heady clubbing days of yesteryear.
KEEP IT ALL UP!! HOOORRAAHHH
Listening to you on the net is the best radio move
I have ever made. Real music and real presenters,
not the plastic panted morons you hear on Smashie
and Nicey FM! J

Pure Pleasure to my EARS,HEART & MIND.

When we moved to Manchester , we bought a car which had 96.2 tuned on all the preset radio channels. We have not found any reason to change it. Your range and enthusiasm is about right and so each of the channels have stayed preset to 96.2.
DA Cook
Been listening for a little while now – really revs me up in the morning! Phil Beckett played a tune called “You stole the sun” yesterday by an un-signed band, Johnny Brown & The …..? Spot on for the weather we've been getting! Steve Shanyaski is barking, and “Ali in the Jungle” should be on everyone in the world's playlist.
Keep it revving!
Donal O'Hanlon
For plants, gifts, garden supplies, flowers for your garden...moved down to Devon 6 months ago and I've been in a state of mourning after moving out of the rev's signal area. That was until I managed to get you on't internet this morning. Back in the game!
Samuel Evans
Been listening for 12 months or so now, and what a brilliant radio station all day every day especially the 10.00 till 2.00 slot. I listen when i can all the time and converted quite few friends to your air ways. My only moan is that you should be pumping out a signal all over the UK so all can listen. Keep up the good work guys.
Mike from Blackburn
Hey Revolution Radio, you could be 'Revelation Radio'. Here at Area161 we have music & tunes on the radio all day. Several weeks ago we were playing with the dial looking for something else, and man we found it. We have now put a little spot of Super-Glue on the dial. We ain't goin anywhere. Love & Light to you all.
Sy & Paul Area161.....
The Rev never fails to make a dull day great! Don't stop playing the good stuff.
Mandy the Minx - Denton
Fantastic station, up until The Rev rarely listened to the radio because of all the sh**e that they play. Top tunage from you guys.
Cheers
Nige
Absolutely love it! Makes XXX look sooo M.O.R. Thanks for widening my music tastes. Joanne - Sale
Eyup guys, I've only recently found this station while drivin round the northwest. At last I've found a station that plays the music I LIKE. Where else can I listen to Nirvana at 6 in the mornin? Lovin what you're doin, thanks guys
Reggie , Bury
I LOVE your station! I wish it had been there 20 years ago but better late than never!! I love your attitude and wide playlist. More Mock Turtles, Turn To Flowers, Makin'Time, Charlatans.
best wishes
Richard Heaven
Hi guys at the Revolution.
We would just like to thank you personally for the great music you play on the radio. Both me and my co worker listen and enjoy the station daily. You will have heard our names mentioned a few times on the air. That's coz we love the show and like to contribute our music ideas. We were 103 listeners for years but not now. We don't listen to any other shows at all. What TUNES, what DJ'S. KEEP UP THE GREAT MUSIC.
We share the love with all the listeners.
Cheers
Lesley and Sharon x x x x x x.
I found you by accident recently. I thought that you were a pop n tosh station. But I was amazed to hear that you play decent tunes ALL the time. Not commercial ‘indie' on an ever-repeating playlist like XXX. I've listened day, I've listened night and still the tunes on The Rev are fresh and interesting. Nice one.
Spencer – Chorlton.
just retired after 30 years in the cops and spend all day tuned into the rev. found u about 6 months ago and never tuned out. proper music, proper bands, no gladys knight. keep it coming

ashton under lyne.
Thoroughly enjoy the station. It's like when someone else plays records from your collection - they always sound better and make you think "why don't I play this more often?". Nice to hear some decent new bands getting airplay as well as the classics. Keep on keepin' on.

One afternoon last summer, whilst trying to find something half decent to listen to on the radio, I randomly came across a tune from the Chameleons' Script of the Bridge, probably my most played album. Surprised and impressed, I carried on listening and was completely bowled over; it was all the sort of stuff I used to listen to before being distracted by the whole dance culture thing. I haven't listened to another radio station since, and family and friends have also been converted. What I love most about the Rev, apart from the phenomenal choice of tunes, and presenters who are in love with music rather than themselves, is that it's completely rekindled my love of proper music. I've even been buying music again.
A huge thank you to everyone at the Rev!
Marie
Well, the rev is just the bees knees, great music by people who love great music ,for people who love great music beats anythin radio cough cough churns out like x faxtor losers and all that grunt and groans they call R n B
keep it up boys and girls at the rev!!!
cheers Paul, ( Denton )
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy listening to the revolution. The standard of music played is excellent and the presenters are not in love with sound of their own voices. Keep up the good work and never change - better dash the evening sessions is about to start.
Andy Madden - Levenshulme.
I moved up from the midlands to Manchester around three years ago. This radio station is the kind of sub-culture sound i was looking for and what i imagined Manchester to sound like. Long live the Rev! Keep up the top tunage.
Lauren, Manchester
Guys, we just returned to Australia from my hometown ( Oldham ) after being bowled over (no pun intended re the Ashes, ha) by your station and the music you're playing. We logged on tonight only to discover we wont be able to listen to live broadcasts. It's a crying shame, now we're gonna have to wait until we return (God knows when) to tune in.
We drove all over Lancs and Yorks listening to your station and it's the best thing I've heard in 30 years!! Since leaving Manchester . Oh well, keep up the great work offering Gtr Manchester all that musical talent.
It was a great experience,
Thanks heaps
Laura Easthope (ex pat)and Jason Shannon (An Aussie)
What happened to The Rev? Four years ago it was just another bland radio station so I sacked it. When I came into work one day a few months back I thought someone had a Cd on (hearing I Wanna Be Adored at 7.00am not being entirely normal for breakfast radio), and couldn't believe it was The Revolution we had on the radio ! I don't know whose idea it was to become an indie style station, but good on yer ! Keep up the good work !
Bev from Rochdale
Can I just take this opportunity to say what a brilliant radio station you have, the music is spot on and I can't wait to turn the radio on first thing in the morning. It's been a long time since I ever thought that about a radio station, keep it up.
Cheers, Mark
Since discovering `The Rev` nothing else is played in my car. The Chameleons, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, I`ve died and gone to heaven! Please don't ever change. Unfortunately when I get to work I have to put up with `Radio cough cough`. I can`t understand how people can listen to such mind numbing, repetitive *****.
Tel - Middleton
I still find it hard to believe that the best radio station on the airwaves is from my home town.
Karl Bamford
I love the station, discovered it by random last summer on my car radio display as 'THE REV' and just had to find out more! Now it's my No1 station in memory! Keep up the good work, and keep the flag flying for good music!
Tom Ternent
No Egotistical Djs. All pulling together for the good of the station. Tune after tune, quality.
Not heard Northern Soul on the Radio for 30 years. Pleasure to listen to.
Keep it going people, we are out here and we need you.
Philip Ashton
I never thought I'd fall in love with the radio again. What with all the dire commercial stations that are around. I can honestly say that Revolution has changed my mind completely. Now tune in everyday and I don't think I've heard a bad tune once. Great Presenters with a genuine love of music.
Keep it up and don't change.
Travo
New Moston
Thought I'd check you out after Mani self promoted you on Soccer Am and now I'm hooked, I only wish there was a station like you in Swansea . Keep up the good work!!
Craig,
Swansea
Just wanted to say your music just keeps getting better and better. In days when “Radio Coff Coff” would stamp about like they own the place, their unimaginative playlists just don't compare.
Andy Mac
Where else at 09.10 in the morning will you get The Jam (in the city) followed by Elvis (way on down) & missed the next 2 as hands free kicked in
Switched over for the last 6 months , superb mix of music - even my wife (ex Coff Coff listener) now tunes in
Keep it up
Martin - Urmston
have never heard your station being originally from the Midlands and now living in Cyprus . But looking at the playlist and presenters and from what I have heard it sounds a breath of fresh air in the barren desert of **** that is ILR, playing the same songs on every station.
Thanks for trying to be different, and by the look of increased listener figures, succeeding.
Paul Jenkins
I discovered your station while travelling to Manchester a few weeks ago and am now addicted! Haven't heard a bad track yet and the only disappointment
is that I lose the reception as I get closer to home. Thank God for the
internet... Don't change a thing!
Paula, Ashton in Makerfield
Great station everybody, really well done. The music is brilliant and the dj's are a breath of fresh air…I have now converted people as far a field a Dublin and even Sydney!
Keep it up!
Patrick Barry, Alty
Best radio station in the country by a mile. I haven't listened to the
radio for 10 years because the sh 1 * they play. Mani's manic Mondays
is top, South Manchester U'11's football team love it on the way to
training and back. Keep it up boys and girls.
Christopher Dodd
Absolutely brilliant - no more irritating self-important t****rs doing my head in on the way to work - I found Revolution 2 months ago & it was better than finding god (being a convent girl I should know that). I now listen to you morning & evening & am converting all my workmates & friends........
Lilith
I note that you have taken the reference to age off your home page blurb,
well done...I am not being pernicketty I just feel that you should never
underestimate the group of people that your excellent music choice reaches.
I listen to Revolution whenever possible and love the fact that you take
immense pride in the regional aspect of your locale allied to the universal
choice of the music, also the self deprecating manner of your presenters
adds something to the friendliness your station invokes, I'm a Manc and
proud of it and so are you. Top!
Regards
George
Very glad your on the air. Was desperately trying to find a good song on the radio when working nights. Came across Cottee's stint and have been tuned in ever since. rediscovered my love of music after years listening to Bland FM and the like. You're putting the others to shame, long may it continue.
Roy

superb station!!!.especially enjoy Mani and Smug.....listen to your shows
all the time in the car, cos I do a lot of driving, and now its very rare I
listen to CDs as you play most of what I have got!.Even got my mate in
Derry, Northern Ireland listening to you on the internet....think it reminds
him of his time at Manchester Met in the early 90's!

Hi Revolution
After Shock radio shut down I thought that was the end of good sounds
in the North. Thankfully I discovered you chaps. I thought that all
radio stations in the UK were run by a load of toffs who cannot see
beyond techno/hiphop/rap crap: you chaps have renewed my faith in
the capacity of media to recognize real taste. Your eclectic mix of 60s to 90s rock, as well as other styles is fantastic. I could not
believe it when I heard Canned Heat 'On the Road Again' a real classic
that few in this generation have even heard of. Thank you for enlightening
this country to the many styles of fantastic music that are out their in
both current and historical contexts.
Keep it up, and do not let the industry or any other f**k w**s tell you
to stop what your doing.
You are all spot on.
Clive
Manchester
Hello Smug and co !! Craig from Grotton here, listening LIVE in Bangkok . Just after 9 at night here and I am grafting on my reports in the room, listening to you via the www thing, so the work doesn't seem too hard what with the music yer playing !!
The Revolution is the best breath of fresh air sice, well, fresh air !! Keep up the massive job you are all doing there and I will keep "tooning" in wherever I am in this world filled with "Pretend FM's" !! Cheers !!
Craig from Grotton, Oldham
Just wanted to say that this truly is the best radio station around. So good that I rarely listen to my own CDs anymore for fear of putting one on and missing a good tune on the Rev! I also credit myself with increasing your audience as most of the people I know tune in cos of my recommendation! Ta v much.
Lisa O'Callaghan, Heaton Mersey
Amateurs, amateurs... that's what ALL other radio stations are compared to The Revolution!! Forgive my ignorance, but I've only recently discovered this mint radio station! Can't fault it, absolutely brilliant folks. Manic Mondays rule, whilst Smug Roberts is the uncle I never had ;o)
Paul Roberts, Stockport
I (accidentally) tuned into your station a couple of months ago and I think it is top! The music is great and thankfully the presenters don't feel the need to talk inane drivel like a lot of other stations. I can even pick it up as far afield as Alderley Edge where I work. Keep up the good work!
Rhiannon Davies
Hey guys, you brought me back to radio with the real music that you play, I make sure I listen everyday. Millsy makes me laugh in the mornings which is what you need. Keep up the good work and I'll keep tellin my mates to tune in to you as well. A true music lover.
Niccki
Your station is the best!! I'm telling everyone about it on myspace :) Steve :)
Steve Cunio
Just a quick note to let you know that Ive recently found your station & am beside myself with glee. Its a true Manchester (I know its based in Oldham !) station with local presenters who are obviously passionate & knowledgeable about the music they play. Ive heard more Smiths, Joy Division, Buzzcocks & Stone Roses in a week than I have listening to the alternatives over many years. Thanks brightening my day!
Steve
Only recently tuned in and you are a godsend from all the other local stations playing commercial crap -all day - repeated!!!. The tunes are good and the DJ's not cheesy Really impressed...i'll be ditching Radio Cough Cough. Lovin it.
Si Holt, Bolton
For the first time, I came across 96.2 The Revolution last Sunday - I had my aural epiphany on the M62 on the way back to Warrington from the girlfriend's in Stockport, as I caught a half hour or so of Martin's show. Love it! Just wish the signal wouldn't dissipate sadly the nearer I got to Warrington - then again, can you blame it?!
How fantastic it was to hear Richard Hawley alongside the ear-opening electronic lounge experimentation of Jean-Jeacques Perrey... wow!
Anyhow, my suggestion for you good folks is that you somehow see a way to post the music played schedules for your shows, so that if your listeners missed the artiste or title of a track, they can look it up.
Karl
Awsome! Mani is a top man!! Fantastic music sense!
Steve Rubie
Hey!! I love the station, I listen in California ...hey!!
Helen
Please don't change! I have to listen to a certain "rival" station all day every working day (because the person who decided this is brain-dead!). Whenever i can i turn over to the Rev. it's such a breath of fresh air. Youv'e done well since you launched, please don't change, sell out or otherwise.
Rob, Ashton
Brilliant station. top tunes played. very good presenters. I have now converted most of C relief North Manchester Division GMP to listening to the rev.
Steve
Bang on in every way, don't xxxx around with a great thing people !!
Nick, Droylsden
Dont know what your latest listening figures suggest, but the number of people who have re-tuned to the Revolution is unbelievable! Ive even introduced disillusioned London listeners who have now switched via the internet. I work in the Manchester theatre industry and we pretty much all tune-in. My brother in-law who works in the music industry, runs recording studios in Manchester and is an A&R man and tells me that all his colleagues listen to the Revolution. Your listener age ranges between 15-45 (just from my survey). Well done! My only slice of feedback which would be a massive addition to your station would be to publish your Presenters playlists on your website each day. You have no idea how many people have discovered music on the airwaves only, only to be frustrated by not knowing the track. Personally, I must have downloaded 20+ songs which were as a direct result of listening and discovering.
John Marley, New Moston
Just moved back to the area and tuned in not tuned out since fantastic tunes and thanks.
Rik, Stockport
I just have to say how much I am enjoying listening to your station, especially the 10 - 2 slot. It really is a blast of fresh air which puts the other stations to shame. I don't pretend to be anything other than average at most things in my life, but I do think my taste (and knowledge) of music is beyond arguement, and it takes something exceptional to satisfy my favourite taste, i.e. guitar driven or synth bands. If I hear one good, rarely played track on any other station in a week, I consider myself lucky, yet you play 4, 5 or more one after the other. My only fear is that you will be short lived (as other similar stations or shows have been in the past), and I will be back to the dross (or listening to my own C.D collection). Anyway, for now, please do not let anybody change your direction - I will notice.
Andy Bissitt, Romiley
Just found your online link and it's brilliant. Work will pass ever that bit easier now. Any chance of you going national! :o) I'm sick of listening to xxxx.
Eoin
Just found you, as i live in Glossop, i luckily heard Mannys shameless plug on Soccer AM and immediately put you on my Desktop, looking forward to listening to some decent music for a change.....Cheers.
Neil Redmond (Fed up Radio Cough Cough listener)
I have been listening to "The Rev" for a good while now and what can i say other than this station is the reason that radio was ever invented. You cannot comprehend how much easier work is when you get to listen to top tunes all day, every day rather than the drivvle that's played on so many other stations.
So thanks for helping me not hand in my notice, keep it up :)
Howie - Oldham
Came across your station a few weeks ago, and now I'm addicted, have it on at work all day and everyone else is getting converted ... the 10 - 2 slot is my favourite. Been tuning in to the DJ comp and hope we get to hear a few of them again ... Keep it coming - best local station out there
Audrey Stanton - Oldham
Just discovered you in the last few weeks, well impressed. Forget XFM and BBC6, this is loads better. Great range of music! Have you got a myspace site? Help spread the word, I'm sure a lot of people in Greater Manchester don't know how good the Revolution is!
Cheers,
Claire - Stockport
